What is a Gel Fireplace?

Gel fireplaces were developed in the USA around 20 years ago and have become very popular. We have developed our new range of gel fireplaces to introduce the concept to the UK market where they are also proving popular.

Gel fireplaces look similar to modern gas, coal or wood fireplaces, but the main differences are that a gel fireplace does not require a flue, chimney or special vent. They require no professional installation and are very easy to move if you need to or even take it with you should you move property.

Our range of gel fireplaces include freestanding and wall-mounted models. We also have two models (Brooklyn and Manhattan) which look great freestanding against a wall or mounted on the wall like a picture.



How do Gel Fireplaces work?

Simply place against any wall in your home, add the tins supplied, add either logs or pebbles and your fireplace will be ready to add ambience to your room. No installation required as the fireplace will be delivered ready to use.

This fireplace has been designed to be used only with gel fuel. Each tin will reach full flame size approximately 30 seconds after lighting and will generate a significant amount of heat to provide a cosy atmosphere to the room.

Each fireplace holds up to 3 tins of specially formulated fire gel. The tins of gel are hidden below either gel fire logs or gel fire pebbles (available in black or white). The gel produces real flames which appear through the pebbles or logs to give a wonderful ambience to any room in your home.

About Gel Fuel

Gel Fireplace Fire Gel is specially formulated for indoor use and is clean and safe to use. It is produced from ethanol as well as other ingredients which make it crackle like a real wood fire.

Our fire gel is clean-burning (cleaner than natural gas, coal or wood) and sustainable as ethanol is produced from sugars, yeast and grain, unlike fossil fuels which are not renewable which means that a gel fireplace is an environmentally friendly alternative to burning fossil fuels in a traditional fireplace or operating an electrical fireplace.

We only sell premium grade fire gel produced in the EU which has been tested to EU safety standards.
