We’ve noticed a number of theatres across the country placing orders for FireSource gel fuel to be used on stage during their performances.

Fire gel, while designed for use at home as a clean, smokeless solution to enable people to enjoy a real flame fire without a chimney or a flue is ideal for on stage use as it offers a safe and inexpensive alternative to gas or wood (which would fill the theatre with smoke!) and of course its clean burning, smokeless and produces a large, rich yellow flame very quickly. It can also be extinguished quickly without any special equipment. Ideal for a short scene which demands a totally realistic real flame fire.

The story is set in Stratford, East London and tells the story a family who have been affected by construction works for the London 2012 Olympic Games and found themselves moved on to make way for the new stadium. This scene depicts a campfire created by some of the former residents who have been made homeless by the construction works.
